Question Anyone have Warranty problems w/Intake

I just installed a MAC cold air intake on my '00 F150 (50 state legal). The truck has to go in for warranty repairs on the leaking transfercase and there is a rattling noise coming from the engine when its cold (any ideas?). I would put my stock intake back on, but it got all hacked up when my friend tried making a cold air intake out of the stock intake. Has anyone had their warranty voided due to a cold air intake? Thanks.

What's happenin'

No, your warranty cannot be voided. Law states that the modification must directly cause some type of failure, namely the thing that they're denying your claim on.

Heck- most dealers offer a power mod package on new trucks anyway (usually exhaust and filter, but some times chips and lifts)

Hey- where did you get that cold air intake?

thanks

I picked it up for $100 from MAC. My work deals with MAC products (exhaust, shifters, filters), and the normal cost is $149. Still, you can't beat that price. The only difference between it and the K&N is that the tube on the MAC setup is metal and not plastic.
