Question Please Help Me With Injectors

I am planning on going with larger injectors because of the mods I have already made to my truck...I was thinking about 24# or 30# injectors...I really need some input on what to go with...Please check out my profile and give me some feedback..

Thanks everyone

Hey Jon,

I've already posted an answer to this where you posted that same question down in the Computer Chips section. In that reply, I've given you the simple formula for calculating injector size needed and all the other info you need.

Give us a shout if you need anything else, and good luck!

I would suggest something tried and true.

Before you consider buying new injectors, pay the .5 -1 hour to your dealer, and ask them for diagnostics using SBDS (Service Bay Diagnostic System).

You can request the Flight Recorder. They plug in a box with a trigger. You get 3 captures (graphs). Go to WOT and press the button. It is that simple.

The main concern here is injector pulse width (You will need to request a pulse width PERCENTAGE).

I suggest requesting as many parameters as you can (Throttle position, MAF, Injector P.W., ETC.) You will actually be able to get a simple bar graph showing the injector pulse width (duty cycle) and compare to the load. As you go over 80% ON TIME at WOT (5v TP reading), then you have a valid concern.

Unless you have an "H" Manual, the MS (millisecond) spec will not help you. You are concerned with percentages, to keep it simple. In addition, you will be able to see cylinder balance in what is called a Histogram (graph). Don't forget to request a printout.

Hope this helps...
