It depends on how much you want to spend. You have a golden opportunity to change cam and heads. GT40 heads would be a good choice with a good cam, expect around 30 hp out of those. If you do that stuff you will need good exhaust and headers, maybe another 10 hp. A good chip would give you about 10 hp also. A 4.10 or lower gear will make the truck leave the line like it has another 25 hp. It doesnt take cubic inches to make horse power, just cubic bucks!!

Oh, nothing compares to N2O for street performance.

BigSteve, since the 302 & 351 are basically the same except for stroke, my advice is to do a search for mustang performance, most any of those sites can hook you up with parts for a 351. If your looking at a rebuild and have some extra cash go with performance pistons, a good cam, since it is a truck I'd get one designed for torque, and definetly heads. There is a ton of aftermarket parts, so take your time and read some magazines like Mustang and fast fords, 5.0 etc. order a Ford Racing Parts Catalog.

Cool

BigSteve,
Not sure what kind of budget you are on, but if you want to save some cash(for other mods of course) go to http://www.FordMuscle.com They have a great atricle about how to port heads - with pictures. They got almost the same flow out of stock heads as expensive aftermarket!! Depends on if you have time to do it though.
Good Luck!!

BigSteve,
I hate to be the wet blanket in this, but I am almost sure the 92 uses a speed density intake control on the EECIV. This will need to be modified or eliminated (maf conversion kit or carb & vacum advance) for any moderate changes to work. Been there with a 90 302.

She's speed Density

Stock 351's had 200hp and 315ft/lbs of torque. You can still get a chip, and do exhuast, get a aftermarket ignition, headers, supercharger, etc etc. Just can't do any inside engine work.
