Okay, I'll take my final (only) shot. Y2K, you could have handled this situation with a bit of diplomacy. Your first response to official was condescending at worst and not very constructive at best. Sort of gave me the impression that either you're the list owner (which you are not) or that you are the self-appointed Message Board Police. At any rate, the tone of your messages in this thread comes across as being very negative.

Sometimes we get so comfortable in a situation that we forget what it's like to be the new kid on the block. We get used to seeing things go a certain way and when that changes, we get upset. I sometimes get that way. Not often, though.

Instead of smacking the new guy on the head for breaking a rule, you should be more willing to offer guidance in a supportive and friendly way. You came across as the neighborhood bully. Maybe that's the military training you got and it's probably something that has served you well while in government service.

Most of us on here are civilians without any military training. Compassion for our friends goes a long way on this message board.

Let's try to get past our differences and find someplace in the middle to meet. OK?

Question

Recalcitrant: there are several meanings for this word. Like headstrong or unruly (both of which you exhibited). Sustenance: same thing; like something supportive (which you are not being). What is lessee; a tennant under a lease? Your military experience is impressive, but I don't remember questioning your experience or diction (" I've forgotten more about cars/trucks than you ever knew"). I've read plenty of your posts and they seem quite knowlegdeable. I agree that this thread is non-productive and that you acted immature. I don't think it is me, no one else seemed to like your comments either. If helping all us stupid people bothers you so much, why do you come here? I won't list my credentials as I'm sure they would not impress you. People post threads for a variety of opinions from what I understand. I would like a civil exchange for all, and I enjoy humor. Once again, I'm sorry if you were offended in any way. I understand people having a bad day or being easily upset, but I think it is unnecessary to expose other "happy" people to it. I generally give or expect and apology in these situations, as I was raised with manners.

Geeeeez......you guys........Now what if Chevy people come here and see this bickering....... Even more ford jokes will start to appear... :-)

I can see what people are saying here and myself last week posted a question and I did go to the search only because of so many forums and so many posts to go through....
My eyes started to blur looking at everything.

Anyhow, 22yrs when is the engine missing???
It could be anything from a wrong gapped plug to a worn cam.

Without stirring up the pot too much, I think we could use a little more "miss-information" (pardon the pun, I couldn't resist) from official22yrs.
