used engines

Does anyone no where I can find complete engines or even totaled trucks for their engines. Looking for cheap as possible. Engines I would be interested in are the 4.6 and 5.4. I am reasearching for a possible swap to my 70' bronco.

There's a 5.4 on E-bay but I don't know how much they want for it. If I'm not mistaken it's out of a 2000.

Don't just leave it at that! Tell us how the SC 5.4 install went and how do you like it?

thanks for the replies. I found a cobra 4.6 at a reasonable price.
I was wondering about mounting transmisions and if the bolt patterns are similar to the 302. I want to use my four speed I have now if I ever do a swap.
I'm from san francisco.ca
where did you find the lightning engine thats a good come up.
I wouldn't mind one of those. how are the 4.6 engines on torque I'll be turning 40in. tires

Did you do some measuring? Seems to me the Triton engines are really wide and wouldn't fit in an older Bronco.

well I haven't yet, but they can't be any wider than a 460 can they. I guess I should check the expidition even though its a 5.4
Are their width differences between 5.4 and 4.6 hows the v10 I haven't experienced one yet.

HI!... The 5.4 2-valve is even wider than the old 426 HEMI. It is definately wider than a 460.

Valve cover to valve cover, my V10 is 30" wide. This would be the same for the 5.4L. The 4.6 may be a bit smaller.

The 460 is only 26" wide, all the modular engines are substantially wider. 4.6SOHC = 28&5/8"----4.6DOHC = 30". The older vehicles using 302s and 351s are working with 19-21" widths.
