Question fuel systems 2

I am having a problem with my 87 F150. In every gear the truck is kind of sluggish until it hits the 2000-2500 RPM range and then it takes off. Could this be a clogged catylytic converter? Any help would be appreciated!

Question

A clogged converter would run worse the higher the rpms, not the reverse, because it fills up with more combustion. Sounds like a fuel or ignition problem. Sounds more like a ignition problem. Have you checked your plugs? That's a good place to start. Plug wires, distributor advance, etc.
