Question Installing a SuperChip in new 5.4

I'm getting a new 2002 F-250 Supercab Lariat in a couple weeks.
It's got the 5.4 with a 3.73 rear end. I am considering getting a superchip at some point because of all the positive feedback I'm reading. My question is should I do a "normal type of break in" first, say 3K miles or so before ordering and installing a chip or just go ahead, get one one and install it before I get any real mileage on the truck??

Sorry, forgot to add one thing regarding my above question. My main intent for adding the chip has to do with towing performance. I tow a 6300 lb. Holiday Rambler TT. My present 2000 F-150, 5.4 does it pretty well without a chip but the F-250 will be sporting a few more pounds before I hook up the trailer,
Thanks. Point Man

Call Mike T. over in the Computer Chip forum. The man is a walking technical reference manual on these trucks.
He knows the way of the force (the SuperChip Force anyway) Luke, follow Mike.

Just wondering......
If you tow, why didn't you get the Power Stroke? It has MORE power and better mileage.
