NO MORE SLAPPING FOR ME...New engine installed on Wed 6-21-00... My dealer did and excellent job, long blk, , used old intake though... but smooth as silk. No more idling stumble, and no more slapping... not a bad process, just ford's slow response and admitting that they will replace anyone 5.4 with the reported problems. Engine, windsor, manufactured 3-25-00, new 2000, with 2 yr, 24k warranty. So, get back to your dealers and bitch..hahah Good luck.. AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE INFORMATION ON THIS WEB...without the input from all of us we would not have a chance... I have to leave, gotta go ride my new motorcycle....nice day here!

 

That is good that you got your new engine, my truck goes in Tuesday to get my new engine installed as well. Cool that there is a 2 yr./24k warranty on it. Will post my engine build date when I get my truck back.
