P0153 code

Okay, this may be a little off topic, but a Ford is a Ford, right?

Anyway, my son has a '97 Ranger that the "check engine" light is on. We pulled the code, it's a generic P0153...basically a lazy responding O2 sensor.

Anyway, the manual describes this O2 sensor as "bank 2, sensor 1".

Is bank 2 on the driver's or passenger's side.

Thanks.

Bank 2 is drivers side on a ford. Standard rule of thumb is bank 1 will always be on the same side as no. 1 cylinder. Sensor 1 will always be nearest engine.
