Wide Throttle Body
OK guys, here's the problem. Several months ago, I ordered a 75mm Edelbrock WTB from TPC. After several weeks and no WTB, I called and found out that it was on indefinite backorder. I canceled my order at that time. Last Friday, I received the TB direct from Edelbrock. Should I keep the sucker and install it or return it? Looking at the sheet, it indicates that most of the horsepower gains come at 4,000, I really need the extra oomph at 2-3,000 for hauling my camper up hills. Anyone have any experience with this mod? Any and all advice appreciated to help out.

Usually larger throttle bodies don't do much at low and mid range RPM levels. Throttle respone would probably be up but that doesn't help pull your load. Personally I would think that for the money I would return the throttle body. For about the same money you could pick up a good ignition that would increase you low to mid range torque. Even when you're not towing the lower end power advantage seems to get used more, unless you like to run at 4,000 + RPM..
Signmaster, any recommendations on a good ignition? I see folks talking about the Jacobs but that is almost $300. Any other alternatives?
