Hello All:
I just bought my F150 two weeks ago and found this site and was had a few questions. First off the bat a little info: I have a 99 F150 with the 5.4L with 8232 miles on it, SC, 2 wheel drive, with the Sport option, keyles entry, and the towing package. Now for my questions: First of all what is all this stuff about the piston slap on the 5.4L? What does the Sport option consist of? And what does everyone think about using Mobil 1 oil? And any other information anyone thinks is important is greatly appreciated. Sorry for some questions about other parts of my truck and not just the engine in this area. I look forward to any and all info. Thanks in advanced........
Bobby

Hello and Welcome to F150 online! The very best thing I could suggest is to try a search on your questions..there is an incredible amount of information on Piston slap and the use of synthetic motor oils...including Mobil 1.

Piston slap link ---> https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000833.html

Door crack problem link ----> https://www.f150online.com/articles/cracks.html

The "Sport" option on the 2000 XLT (order code 94T) gets you an argent (dark grey) grill; body color matched grill surround, bumpers, and mirrors; leather wrapped steering wheel, P275/60R17 tires on 17 inch aluminum rims, a 3.55 rear axle, and Sport decals.

The "Sport" option on the 2000 XL (order code 94S) is similar, except for smaller wheels.

All Sports are available in only four colors: White/Black/Red/& Silver
