So who's going to be the first to buy this thing, so we can get some feedback? I've sent an e-mail to Airaid asking for some performance data on this product. I'll post whatever information they give me. However, if someone with a truck similar to mine were to install this item and post his results I'd trust it a bit more. Hint hint 54regcab .

About 2-3 weeks ago I posted a request for info abt the "helix" power tower - available in Canada.
The guy that sell them syas they REALLY WORK (what else would he say)
I just looked at the "power aid" - it looks the same.
The ad. claims a 20 hp boost - dyno tested.
also increases torque & boosts fuel milage - GOOD GRIEF - ALL 3 Do we all not run out and get one !!!!!

Cool

HI!... If it gives us 20h.p I'll buy right now. I would probably buy one if it gives us 10h.p or more, but if it's less than that no thanks. 20H.P would be nice though!

Question

I believe they call this a throtle body plate spacer. According to the December issue of 4X4 Power you can expect up to a 5 hp gain. I saw this at Ariads Web site and noticed they didn't have any dyno results available ?

Well I can't stand not knowing about this thing, it looks pretty cool. I had a list of items that I planned to order for my truck anyway "early xmas present" so I added the Poweraid to the list. So today I ordered the following items:
1) Poweraid spacer
2) Airaid unit "to replace my airbox mod"
3) Superchip from Mike T.
4) 2" AIM drop shackles for the rear.

All of these items were ordered from different places, so we'll see what arrives first. I'll try to install the Poweraid,on its own and report back my findings. If everything arrives before Saturday I'll see if I can resist the temptation of putting it all in at once. We'll see how it works out.

Cool

I just saw the wheels I wanted in action and they DO hold a ton of water (bad if your in a northern state) I can't decide what wheels I want now, so...why let that money just sit there?! I'm in! As soon as I put the cash back in the bank I'm calling. I think I can install it before you-know-who gets home. He never looks under the hood!

I read what little there was on the Air Aid site and it said increased torque and mileage. Nothing said about horsepower gains.
That would still be okay since torque is what I believe gives that seat of the pants performance feel and nobody would turn down increased mileage.
