Question Jacobs Ignition in 5.4

Has anyone installed a Jacobs ignition system in a 5.4l yet? I read alot of good things about it and I am considering it, also does it work with the superchip? Thanks for any suggestions.

i have a 4.6 with a jacobs ignition a 97.it will work with a chip .it does not change the timeing.it just puts more volts to the coils.it gives more throttle responce, and with the wires to it gives 3 to 3.5 mpg.i am very happy with my system.go get it,the only thing is the price.if you do get one don't pay someone to put it in.its easy to put in .put the box behind the passenger side headlight,in front of the windshild washer box.run the one wire under the radiator cover to the driver side coil.the other coil is right their.then your done.if you get the wires put wd-40 on the outside of the boot.it will slide right down.if you get it good luck.

Last I heard they dont make one for the 5.4 and if they do (now) you are wasting your money! The 5.4 engine has one of the BEST ignition systems in the world! It burns VERY effecientyl... Even Jacobs will tell you that!

I installed one in a Tahoe (5.7L) and it gave it about 1-2 mpg better. But no NOTICABLE performance gains!

SAVE YOUR MONEY!
