Rand - I've had my superchip for almost a month now and the "Check Engine" light just came on this weekend. I checked the gas cap, thinking that maybe the idiot at the station didn't put it on tight enough - but he did (Believe it or not - we can't pump our own gas here in Oregon - I think it's our full employment act...)Anyway - I've driven the truck 5 different times, and the check engine light should have gone off by now if it was the fuel cap. I'm afraid that maybe my superchip is causing the light to come on. How did you reset yours, and how did you determine that it was the chip and not something else?

Cool

you gotta disconnect the battery to make the light go off.

I contacted Mike T... He sent me a new chip at no cost. I sent him the old chip back! Have not had a prob since...(fingers crossed)

He is VERY helpfull and FAIR! Give him a buzz or email.... I'm surprised he has not shown up in here!

I would try resetting the computer first. Make sure your using 92 or higher octane and try another gas station! Use Texaco, Amoco, or Shell, DO NOT USE EXXON! Texaco is the best from what I've read!

Good Luck.

Thanks, guys. I disconnected the battery - the first time for just a minute and the light didn't go off. So, I disconnected it overnight and it was off this morning when I drove to work! I have been getting my gas at a cheap place called "ASTRO" - maybe their 92 octane isn't as good as some of the others. I'll try some Texaco (right across the street and 8 cents a gallon more) and see if the light stays off. I'll call Troyer if I can't get it to stay off. Thanks again.
