Question 4.6L Engine Oil Leak Fixed

I recently took my truck to the dealer for some work. One of the problems was that the hoses leading to the remote oil filter were leaking oil where the metal connector joins to the rubber hose.
Has anyone else had this same problem? All they did was replace both hoses to fix it.

Cool

Did replacing the hoses fix the problem?? Or do you think ford should have just replaced the connectors?? Or maybe just tightened them up a bit more???

Some of us have had new trucks with loose parts, bolts, connectors, ect. that just needed to be tightened down to fix the problem. You should even check things like tire pressure, Ford sometimes forgets to do the simple things!!

Replacing the hoses fixed the problem.
The hoses are part metal tubing, and part rubber tubing. It wasn't actually leaking from the connection (i.e. end of hose), but where the rubber hose & metal tube joined. There are no connectors there.
It's kind of hard to explain.
