Cool "Spark" my interest.

I was wondering about any kind of gains I could get from changing the factory spark plugs. What kind if any would give me the best gain and in what Horse Power, gas mialage, etc...

Cool

Jolly Green Giant,

You have to use platinum spark plugs with these triton V8's. From everyone I have talked to the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs are great and give you the most performance gains of any spark plug. These plugs don't have to be gapped. They have 4 prongs that leave the center over the electrode free to fire directly into the cylinder.

Depends which vehicle your referring to. Looks like you have 3.

It's possible to gain very little over what's in there OEM. For the two valve, I've noticed a slight improvement with mpgs using Denso Iridums. An Iridium plug is really the best you do. NGK also has Iridium's available.

The Bosch, DON'T use those, they can and have cost a long list of modular motor failures in the past. Here's just a few reasons why, -

I think if I were to use any other plug other than factory, it would be NGK or Denso. I had Bosch in my Ranger 3.0 and they did OK but it seems the modular motors don't get along with them too well.

I;m guessing you're referring to me as the "op"okay i'll bite what's an "op"/I've been a tilesetter for over 30 years and I yet have to come across on our tilesetting sites where someone asks for advice only to have people in the industry,or "in the know"turn around and slag them.I joined this site because i'm not a mechanic but I have a beauty truck,If I wanted to get heckled I'd go to a stand up comics contest.
We have name calling and codes in my trade to but I grew up about 28yrs ago,.

Boots, you are going to get flak when you reopen a thread that hasn't been posted in for 12 years. It's nothing personal, you are just a bit ignorant about forum etiquette, that's all.
