4.6 HP Disspute
Well, this thread is deteriorating. Keep it up. You're almost down to my level. You'll know you're there when I start slinging goat dung around.
(Can I say 'dung' here?)
(Can I say 'dung' here?)
No, you can't say Dung here. If we let you say Dung here everyone will want to say Dung here and then everyone will say Dung here and then were will we all be then huh? I'll tell you, In the Crap big time! Thats right! In the Crap!

Raoul, I was talking to a guy that raises goats up around your part of Virginia the other day.
He say's: "Phil, you know what time it is when your goat gets its two hind legs caught in the fence when trying to jump over it?"
I said: "well...no... what time is it?'
He say's: "Mountin time son, Mountin time!"

hee hee hee!
...oh and just to help stir the sh*t... 220hp or 235 hp makes very little difference to the performance of our bloated, heavy trucks. If you have 220hp and want to make it feel like 235 hp... remove 330lbs of wife, spare tire, seats etc. and the power to wieght ratio will gladly provide that sensation for your little butt cheeks!

We are getting way off track here. It's time to address Yankee's original post and stop all this petty bickering over nothing.
Yankee, don't you know there's only one 's' in dispute?
Yankee, don't you know there's only one 's' in dispute?
It doesn't really make a helluva lot of difference to me, I'm trying to make a point here. fast46triton has stated inumerable times, this thread included, his little salesman told him he has some heretofore non-existent 235 horsepower version of the 4.6L engine even though ALL Ford factory literature indicates 220 horsepower. He believes the salesman, no proof, just the salesman's word (he was selling the truck, remember). Yankee began this thread by stating he thinks he knows where the miscommunication came from, yet fast46trition still hangs on to the little salesman's word. Pastmaster asks, "How do you know which is which? VIN?" So I post, verbatim, a page of VIN codes from the '98 Ford FACTORY shop manual. They weren't posted to cause controversy. They weren't posted to be scrutinized. They weren't posted to be questioned. They were posted to reflect what Ford's VIN codes were for the 1998 model year. PERIOD. And this little teenage worm's got to come out and say that's not true, yet he believes a salesman?!! When I saw this moron's age down on the general discussion forum, I KNEW who the dumbass was: ME!! I should've known better, I was 17 once and knew EVERYTHING about ANYTHING, all you had to do was ask.

Pleese forgive me, I'll fix you up with two nuns who will make you numb. Better than goats. If I knew this would have become a feud, I'd kept my thoughts to myself! I'm gone to revoke my own posting privledges.

I'll have you all know, My Great Grandmother once dated a guy who was 2nd cousins with a guy who put on the left front tire of the first Ford F-150 ever built and she told me on her Death-bed that the 4.6 liter has 222.5 horsepower in wet weather and 222.7 in dry weather !
I hope this straightens out this who mess !
