Question K&N Filter

Help.... I've been to a few places locally to see how much the K&N filter costs for my 2000 4.6l, but nobody seems to have the book with application data for model year 2000 F-150s. I've looked at the K&N website and can't tell for sure from there (and didn't see an email address either). What is the part number for the K&N filter for my truck? Is it the same as the 97-99 model?

------------------
2000 F-150 XLT Sport
Silver
4 door Supercab, Short Bed (Only way to fit in the garage)
17" Sport Wheels with BFG tires
4.6l V8, Auto Transmission (First one in 20 years)
In-Dash Single CD Player

Hopes and Dreams:
Spray-in Bedliner
K&N Filter
WMS Velocity Tube
FlowMaster Exhaust
Nerf Bars

Hey Y2KXLTSport, the K&N Filter for the 2000 is the same as the 97-99's. I bought mine in the online store in this site (F-150 Online). Just go to the home page and link on to (Online Store). There you can order your K&N Filter. You'll find everything you need there, as for K&N Filters.

I took my K&N filter out of my 98 F-150..and put it in my 2000 without a problem. It only had about 2,000 miles of use (when in 98) on it...and so far..it works great! I have a total of 5,000 miles on it and it still looks like new.

Thanks for everyone's response. Yes I was looking for the Air Filter and I appreciate the quick response. When I get back in town, I can take care of getting mine done.

I read somewhere (probably on this site) that K+N could not yet "recommend" the Filtercharger for the 2000 F-150 because it had not gone through the testing, certification, or whatever is required to ensure it would meet the emission criteria of the 2000 F-150's which are now Low Emission Vehicles.

I thought I had read that also, which is why I posted the message to begin with. Does anyone know an email address for K&N?

TIMT--

I read somewhere, before the 2000's came out, that they were going to be low emission vehicles..but no where in the owners manual does it mention anything about it being a low emission vehicle (unless I read too fast). I have not read any reviews to this fact either. I will double check and do some research on this since you mentioned it.....

Thanks for the K&N info though!
