Question To pay or not to pay...that is my question.

Now that I've been messing with my friends 96, I've come to the conclusion that I need to change my sparks. I've read quite a few posts on the total hell they went through doing this and I wonder if I should avoid the trouble and pay someone to do it for me. So, how much labour do you think they'll charge to change'm? an hour, two? If it's more than an hour, forget it, I'll do it.

Plan on an 1 1/2-2 hours the first time you try it--the next time it will go a lot faster.

Matt, that doesn't sound too bad if it's 2 hours; some of the threads I've been reading say it took'em like 4 hours! That does seem a little high, so I'll split the difference with you and say it'll take me 3. How long do you think a dealer would want to charge for labour?

Matt:
sorry 'bout that, didn't realize, but thanks for the information. Wow, Ford techs would take that long eh? Hmmm, then maybe I will just give in and have'em do it for me if that's the case. Thanks again.

You don't want to know how long it took me to do it. Of course I was out in the cold doing it with a flashlight and the light on the hood. During the time I was out there it rained very lightly for 30 min. Plus I broke a couple clips on the plug wires so I had to remove the ones that I broke and put the old ones back so I could exchange them.
