this will be the last time i ever race stock with stock though,i just got a airaid intake this afternoon and plan on some exhaust next week.

 

all other factors being equal, yes a 5.4 will smoke a 4.6, and even worse the wimpy 4.2.....a dude around town i know who has a regular cab just like mine, except with the 5.4, stock for stock would run about a whole second faster than mine....it has taken me spending a good bit of time and money on mine to be able to beat him now. weight is always a factor, someone with an extended cab,4X4, or SCrew probably will get waxxed because thats a lot of weight to be pulling down the line.....
