Exclamation Truck won't start! HELP! (remote starter installed)

I have a servere problem on on my 2000 F-350 Super-Duty with the v10. It has the Code Alarm Sure Start LX installed. This morning I hit the start button on the remote, I heard the doors lock, but it didn't start. I tried to start it manually using the ignition key, it does nothing. The battery is okay -- all the accessories work. I don't hear the starter clicking or anything. All I do hear is clicking similar to that of a turn signal, but it's coming from near the remote start "brain." The led is also flashing.

What could the problem be? How do I know if it's the remote starter, or my truck?

If your alarm(if equipt) has current sensing, you'll need to disable it. when the alarm sees electiricty flow, it most likey activates a starter interupt. Remote starters I've installed have a wire to disable the alarm system, to avoid this.

Once the starter interupt is activated even the key will not work.

I've heard there have been other associated problems with the Ford PATS system and remote starters.

Also check for a bad connection, or ground. If its clicking, in may be an intermittiant problem, with the power supply, or ground.

Remove all the fuses from the starter system, and try you key.

try reseting the alarm so you can start it. there is a reset button underneeth the dash.turn the ignition key to on, hold down the rest button it down till the horn blows a couple of quick times. then start the truck. it worked for me when i had this problem. then i brought it to the dealer to fix. curt

Our truck was in dealer 3 times, same problem! Remote start on these are BAD. The PATS system went bad because of it. One of the pins came loose, took ford FOREVER to find it. Truck would never start.

Good luck.
