97 non pi engine going into a 2001 that had pi engine

Please and thank you first of all and I have scoured the web for any info on this and can't get a clear answer on this..so far on what I've noticed is that the intake mani on non pi 97' Has a bigger underside and so much so that it can separate from the intake. This box under the intake also has its own sensor. There is also a sensor on the crossover bar that is not on the 01'. Another thing that I noticed that shouldn't be problem is that the non pi motor has a stand alone routed oil filter, and the filter on the pi motor had the filter on the block. No big deal the chassis has holes I can use the bracket for this...I just don't want to drop the non pi motor where a pi motor was and the two intake sensors make all the difference. Does anyone know if I can run this non pi in the 01? I feel that the computer won't have these two extra sensors in mind....

Both 4.6 and 5.4 non-PI V8's had a IMTV.

It's the 5.4 and this is really bugging me I have the engine here ready to drop in but it would be a bummer if the truck with the pi motor couldn't process the non pi motor because of this extra part of the intake that will have two extra sensors the pi motor never knew anything about
