2000 f150 5.4, it's starting to throw its 4th coil pack so I'm gonna put a new set in, so here are my questions.

1. When putting the dielectric grease on do I pack the spring or just around the contact point to the sparkplug?
2. When shopping I found both 26k and 28k voltage. Is more better or worse? I would think the spark is strong but I don't want to add heat or overload the sparkplug.

Buy Motorcraft or Denso coils from rockauto for the best prices. The Motorcraft come with dielectric grease on the end of the wire coil inside the cop. I recently bought a set of Motorcraft cops from rockauto. The aftermarket brands aren't always dependable.

Apply the grease inside the boot, not on the springs or contact points. Use only Motorcraft spark plugs and Motorcraft, Denso, or Delphi coils. Torque the spark plugs to 28 ft/lb.
