Question on blown fuse on fuel system on 2014 F150 with 5.0 engine

Hopefully this is the right place to ask.

on my 2014 F150 with 5.0 engine, in the under hood fuse number 27 on top of the radiator called "fuel pump relay power" a 20 amp mini fuse, blew.

the shop, a local Ford Dealer replaced the fuse.

i asked what would have caused it to blow, answer, it just happens some times. I really do not like that kind of flippant answer, yes it could just happen, but most likely it is an indication of a future problem

I was curious what might be the possible cause.

an ideas what could have caused it? over heated relay or fuel pump going out?

truck seems to be running fine, but I wonder what might happen. I can replace the fuse myself next time, but could this be an indication of a future problem?

thank you

It could be the fuel pump going out.

I was working on another vehicle a few weeks ago that the fuel pump went out, and when it did, the plastic connector started melting. Fuse didn't pop. Kind of bothered me, but hey, not my car. Just got a new connector, popped a new fuel pump and sender unit in and went on my way.
