Whining sound when accelerating as I'm Shifting gears

Hello I'm new to this form. I have a 1998 Ford Mustang GT 4.6ltr that recently within the past month or so starting a whining sound while I'm accelerating the gas as im Shifting gears 1-3 after the 3rd gear it stops. Real notice when taking off or shifting 1st. I hear noise inside of car coming from the shifter and middle front of car. I'm not machanic nor have any experience other then the owner who drives it daily for the last 9 years I would like an idea where to start diagnosing with the serpentine belt, or alternator, which I recently replaced, or water pump? I have a vacuum line cause issues with how my ac blows out the vent and fixed it. Don't know where I should be looking without mis diagnosing and costing me money for parts I don't need. Lastly I know my clutch is also going out or needs to be changed could this be a reason to look at as well. I know this diagnosis is a hard one to find because noise has many different reasons a part is failing. Please Help!
