4.6 Swap f150

Ok guys, I have a 1997 F-150 with a 4.6 that has roughly 300,000 miles and a blown head gasket with coolant in oil. Still cranks and runs good but I have an opportunity at a 2008 4.6 out of a gt mustang with 127,000 miles. Could a swap be done or am I better off fixing current motor. Thanks

Your engine is a 2 valve. The Mustang engine is a 3 valve. This would be a complicated swap with all kinds of electrical/electronic issues. A 2 valve out of a 97-03 F150 would be the easiest swap with only minor issues.

Ok. I’m just having trouble finding a engine.

If you plan on keeping the truck for a while, check out a Jasper reman.
