So my oil pump went out and the timing chain in my stock 5.4 broke. Getting a new jasper motor ordered. I want to upgrade my cam. Not looking for anything crazy, just a moderate cam that will up the power but still keep it simple and reliable. Any recommendations on what cam to go with? As well what upgrades need to go along with the new cam?

Call Comp Cams and tell them what you're looking for. Some require programmers, some require higher stall converters, etc. They have all the questions and answers to get the best cam. https://www.compcams.com/
I doubt cams would help you, the stock cam and VCT system is pretty good, when it works. You do know if you replace the cams, the Jasper warranty is probably void. If you do go through with a replacement, you might as well get a phaser lockout system and a custom tune.
