Will manually shifting my automatic 2009 5.4 hurt it

I've been manually shifting my 5.4 2009 f150 for a couple days it gives me something to do and gives me more torque will it hurt my truck in the long run

The computer is still commanding the shifting and throttle opening, and if it's out of parameters it won't shift.

Exactly. You can't destroy it like you can with a standard shift.

You aren't going to stall nor over speed it.
