2005 5.4

Just wondering if any year 5.4 from 04-08 will work in my 2005 f150 truck I was told it could only be an 05 5.4

Ideally, it would be easiest to swap a 05 5.4l with a 05 5.4l. However, any engine will work from 04-08 NBS.

You probably will want to swap electronics like the throttle body over to the new (to you) donor engine.

You should be able to get any 5.4 3 valve to work. I do NOT recommend an 04 though.
