Starter not always engaging 2005 f150 Throwing parts @ it
A couple years ago I did the timing set on my truck. While I was in there I replaced the starter, just as a preventative. The new starter would not always engage. I would have to “bump” the ignition to get it to engage. I replaced that starter and still have the same problem. I then replaced the cable harness that runs from the starter to the battery. Still had the problems. Then I replaced the ignition switch. Still have the problem. Next thing for me to check is the flywheel teeth. After that, I don’t know what else to replace.

What does "starter would not always engage" and " I would have to “bump” the ignition to get it to engage." mean?
The attachment doesn't appear to be of any value. What was it supposed to be?

My guess is there are no need for starters in 2095? ha, ha! It'll all be electric motors by then.... And I'll be long dead, so no worries!
Yes, a useless post, but I've had a few tonight and feeling good!

Don’t know how I missed this but I did! Thanks to everyone who contributed constructive criticism and or advice. Ford flywheels suck. Well, mine did. Oh and I also noticed my pinion seal is leaking , again. Yes, it was replaced a few years ago. Cheaply made parts are not making your loyal customer happy Ford Motor Company!
