Emissions Question

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I didn't see anything more appropriate.

1992 F150 5.0 227,000 original owner miles.

I noticed the little plastic air lines are sheared off the tomato can looking device under the hood.
What is it for and will this cause a problem and what are my chances of getting new lines?

That's a vacuum reservoir, usually for the climate control system. If you can splice them, you can do that with regular vacuum hose.
