97 4.6 Windsor tensioner question
So I've installed the timing chains, oh yeah is it just for Romeo at 12 and Windsorat 11 o'clock keyway position? Also I installed the D/S tensioner but the L is like upside down is this correct? Bc turning it 180 puts the tensioner piston on top facing head and real close to block? Also is there a "spacer" needed on crank for new 1 piece Crank-Gear and Reluctor? I'm hoping there is nothing more wrong w this truck when got it was fine drove maybe 40 miles parked it next day pulled in shop and it was filling shop w that cyanide smell we all know from exhaust and coolant mixing, long story short was reving engine thinking it was leftovers from sitting for a year then hear loud pop? Then coolant was like a fire hose shooting out my exhaust pipe then truck died pulled front cover Reluctor shattered! But I never seen any spacer per se' cause the old Crank-Gears I removed were 2 piece just wanna make sure before I start it, tensioner is ok? No need for spacer? My timing marks w the keyway at 11 I believe have to double check but Mark on Crank-Gear dot for both chains good and each chain is on their respective location on cams?
