2006 5.4 bank 2 lean code

Ive tried everything i cam think of spraying intake manifold and gaskets with carb cleaner and no rpm spikes or drops. its the weirdest thing ive encountered in a while. from cold the first 8 or so minutes of my drive to and from work the truck on start up idles like it should and when i pull out of the spot it accelerates like it should in a parking lot. but as soon as i get out on the road and accelerate its has no power and takes forever to get up to speed im lucky to hit 45mph. then the cel will flicker at me and have no power an i start slowing down. then in spurts it will act like it has a little power and then loss it again and so on. After ive drove it for 8 or so minutes it starts to run a little better not as it should though. Then if i try to accel to hard it flickers the cel and i get no power then it stops and i have some power back. Now heres the brain teaser it will do this regardless whether it start it up and take off or if i let it warm completely up before taking out. I have changed the spark plugs and the ignition coils all 8 at the same time. It has no *** to get on to the highway and the only code i get is bank 2 lean. Any help would be appreciated!

Don't use carb cleaner! Use an unlit propane blow torch.

It sounds like you have the following:

- Bad injector/clogged injector
- Clogged/restricted fuel filter
- Clogged/restricted air filter

How many miles on it?

Exhaust leaks before the upstream O2 sensors can also cause lean codes.

Check the FPDM for corrosion. Remove it from the mount and check the back side. This may be causing low fuel pressure.

It had an exhaust leak on the passenger side when I bought it. It ran fine for a long while even with it. Ill check the FPDM and try that.

What brand plugs and coils did you use? I'd put some Techron in the gas which may help with the injectors.

If you didn't use proper precautions and procedures when cleaning the throttle body, it may be damaged. You can't do it the same way with an electronic throttle as you can with a mechanical one.

I used the new Motorcraft Sp546 which superseded sp515 and I used some x brand coils which work great I tried swapping them out on a friends f150 and ran just fine on his. So i ruled out the coils that way.

The throttle body I used throttle body cleaner for an electric throttle body so it was sensor safe.

Right, but I'm more talking about the cleaning technique.

So I borrowed a friends scanner that I could pull live data from. I decided to read the codes that may have popped up since I last drove it and the lean code was gone. Now I'm getting a misfire in cylinder #3 &4.

I'm kind of suspicious of those coils.

It's also possible one or more of the new spark plugs is defective or cracked - or you got antiseize on the tip.
