Most of the parts houses here in Wichita KS have it for $3.99/quart. A while ago, Walmart had 5-quart jugs for $15. I bought all of them.

Ames in NJ just had a sale @ $3.80/quart from a normal $4.29/quart.

I gave a neighbor money who had a senior citizen's discount for another 10% off to buy a couple of six-packs for me resulting in a price of $3.42/quart.

Here in Rochester NY, I paid 3.99 qt the last time. Cannot seem to find it any cheaper. I'll keep an eye on the Wal-Mart shelf to catch a discount. NAPA has the 5qt jug advertised for 19.99. I bought 2 jugs and then had to pay 4.29 each for the extra for the f-150's portly oil pan!. Its worth it thats for sure.

Cool

TSSCS,
Which gears to buy? Let me help you out, divide the tires you want (in inches) by your current tire size in inches and multiply by your current axel ratio. The answer will give you a new gear ratio. Here is mine 265-75-16/235-75-16 x 3.55 so.. 31.65/28.95 x 3.55= 3.88 The next gear sixe up were the 3.73 gears but they were not enough to bring my back to stock(w/ the bigger tires), I wanted more oomph off the line and better acceleration so I went w/ the 4.10's (US GEAR) YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED WITH A GEAR CHANGE. always (IMO) go up at least one gear set higher, This will allow you go get bigger tires next time around. I can go as high as 33" tires, if I wanted and still be a tad above stock. I lost 3 MPH on my top end w/ the 4.10's, but I am not a speed demon, so it didn't bother me.

PS I am happy as a pig in sh*t w/ these gears, and you will be to, just me, JUST DO IT and worry about the bill later ;-)

So far it's still under $4 per quart here.
$3.79-$3.99 usually. Dang stuff is expensive, but it's worth it !
I'd prefer using Amsoil, but at $6-8 per quart that will never go into my truck !
Hope that "A" word doesn't start anything !
