Darren Dude,

I'm also from the springs but have a V6 so I am really behind on the power curve. I left there on th 20th with close to 5,500 pounds loaded up into the truck and trailer. Once i got close to Amarillo i could start to tell the difference. Also was able to get good gas for a change. 93 octane. By the time i got to Dallas, I was able to run 75 MPH with out a problem. I am dreading the trip back on New Years Day.

Chas,

Did you buy your truck new in the Springs? There has got to be a solution to this besides super charging. Chas what kind of MPG are you getting here in the Springs and are you 4x4?

Darren Dude,

I bought the truck in Denver used. Only had 7,200 miles on it and the price was right. The truck is a 4x2 with 3.55 gears and oversized tires. I have not figured out my mileage at all but the power that i get and the amount of gas used to get that power is not good at all.

Went to another dealer today and spoke to the service manager. He said that the High Alt Package was not just another computor program (flash). This really sucks....8mpg city and it feels like im towing a boat. Super charging is looking like my only option and damn and I just bought a new laptop. Any suggestions on a good reliable cheap Super charger?
