I am currently in the process of finding a replacement 5.4 for a 1997 f150 with the 5.4 in it. I was wondering if anyone has ever swapped the newer 2001-2003 block 5.4 with the PI heads into a 97/98 before. Any info would be great.

Yes I put a 2007 PI 4.6 engine in a 97 f150 with excellent results. Modulars are a simple swap either with a 5.4 or 4.6.
