Question Stumped ! Electrical ??? More problems coming ?

Guys and gals....help! When I open either side door I have no interior lamps. Ignition starts up fine, but still no interior lights, and also no power windows, wipers, or dummy lights on the instrumental panel. At first this was intermittent problem when there was moisture in the air, lasting only 1 to 2 minutes. Now, when temp drop below 40, it takes upward to 20 minutes to reset. I hear a loud click then all is fine until next morning. I've taken to the dealer 3 times and they cannot duplicate. The solutions I hear range from a simple short to a relay to a bad ignition switch. I'm stumped....is anyone having similar problems or have a recommended solution?

jbatten - What do you mean - "they can't duplicate" - Under SAME conditions IE overnite, outside, or whatever? Sounds like it could be ign. switch - No computer errors? Does dealer know what he is doing? Have you gone to an Electric specialist? If you hear a "click" - something is resetting. It definatley sounds like an electrical problem - maybe even just a bad ground connection at the Batt. - just a thought.

When they kept it overnight it worked fine for the dealership in the AM. Funny you mention ignition switch. A warm 60+ degrees today and no interior lights upon opening the door (either one) first time. Two days in a row....but I never have the problem twice in the same day...only first thing. This is a new twist; no moisture or cold. As soon as I turn the ignition it all resets...I'm also thinking electrical specialist verse the dealership right after Christmas.

Sounds to me like the "click" you hear is a circuit breaker resetting. Maybe a pinched wire in the door or some place else? Find out if there is a circuit breaker that feeds power to all of the devices you stated. If so you are getting close.
