Need a new engine

So i recently bought my truck from a dealer who completely screwed me, had it for 3 months and the engine blew. Have a seized cylinder with broken rockers and followers. Been searching around for an engine because i dont have the money to just trade it in and its still on a loan payment (they really screwed me) so my only real option is to do an engine replacement. Anyone have any suggestions on an inexpensive but good engine? Ford told me it would cost $6700 for a used engine replacement with an engine that has 90k on it...so yeah **** no. I've been looking at jasper but its around the same price, anything good out there that will help me save some cash? I'm military so yeah i dont make too much, if you have any suggestions thanks in advance for the reply just really need to get out of this ****ty situation. Vehicle specs-
2007 f150
5.4l v8 SOHC
engine vin- V

You aren't going to find a 5.4 3 valve at any kind of decent price. Didn't you get any kind of warranty when you bought it?

Bite the bullet and get a reputable shop put a rebuilt engine from a reputable rebuild outfit in your truck and make sure there is a warranty.

If you could find a low mileage used engine, that might be worth the risk. Warranties on used engines are short and you have to pay labor to change it out if the used engine isn't any good. Big decisions to be made here!

5.4 3v

I have 11,000 miles on my engine I got from them. Less the $3,000 plus labor. Very happy with it.
