Amsoil EaA Air Filters...No More

Not staring a brand thread here, just sharing some info for those that may care...

For whatever reason, Amsoil is getting out of the air filter business. If you're a fan of EaA filters, stock up now.

Since the technology is actually Donaldson, I wonder if they have any intent on making the filters? For a cleanable filter, they were among the best and eons ahead of the K&N crap.

Where can you still get one? I just searched eBay, Amazon, Google shopping and Yahoo. There were none to be had.

Edit: Well Amsoil site is showing they still have them. Guess I'll call before ordering to make sure there still available.

Oil filters are going nowhere. Even some internal ramblings that efforts spent on air filter technology and such will be diverted to oil filters.

That sucks to hear. Why would they pull out of the air filters, figured a top notch company would want to produce it all. I was disappointed when they stopped making them for Cavalier cars. Have a Wix in my car currently which is still clean but the peace at mind of having the Amsoil was nice.

I read somewhere else that sales were way down, and there are just too many different ones these days. It used to be that one number would cover several applications, no more. Sales are way down because more and more people these days don't bother with changing it themselves, they just have the quick oil change places throw a new one in.

You can't buy actual Donaldson filters except for heavy trucks and industrial applications. Donaldson didn't actually make the filters, Amsoil had the filters made with licensed Donaldson technology.
