Let's type the right things, Pat

And I'm comparing ONLY to what was offered in the F150 for the 2010 MY, not comparing 2009 tech to 1997 tech

5.4 > 4.6

until the 3V 5.4 blows up

I'll take a PI 4.6 2V over a non-PI 5.4 2V in a pre-04 truck.

I didn't mistype. 4.6 2v is faster than 5.4 2v which would be comparing equal 10th gens

How is that possible unless you are talking about a PI 4.6 vs. a non-PI 5.4?

Shorter stroke builds revs faster. Also the 4.6 trucks came with higher stall convertors

They are pretty similar displacements. Not like we're comparing a 2.0 to a 5.4

Mmmm . . . I dunno. Non-PI 2V 4.6s are slow as *****, and the PIs got what, ~10 HP and ~25 TQ added? And even then, they still were missing 60 or 70 ft-lbs on the 5.4.

My son in law has a 98 4wd Scab with a non-PI 4.6, and it's not that bad. Good grief, it's a TRUCK!
