The answer should be yes. The only qualification is the amount of parts you'll hace to swap. Any PI 5.4 should be a easy swap.

Yes. A 99-2014 E350 motor should swap in with little-no effort. By motor, I mean the long-block. The water inlet, timing cover, valve covers, manifolds, oil pan, and pickup tube may differ, but you can swap those over if there's nothing wrong with them.

Just like the F-series 3/4 and 1 tons. They didn't get a PI engines until later..later than 99, maybe by 2001. Can't recall exactly, but it wasn't 99 for E's. Only the 99 F150's and Expy's w/5.4L's got the new PI design for the trucks.

Thanks guys, I forgot the year sorry: the engine I had found was a 2003 from a super duty, ex airbase one in UK, ive spoke to a company in England today and he has given me loads of reasons why I cant?? all the sensors not matching to my truck!! I need to find the same year engine and check all sensors are the same.
He told me they changed every year with the f150 !
Many thanks for the great response guys.

if you have a NPI or PI motor, doesn't really matter as long as you get the same heads / intake ports

then the "shop" can reuse your vehicles intake manifold and wiring

We were both close. It was 2000 as it turns out. Moot now though.

If you go to a junk yard here in Salt Lake city theyll tell you a 99 5.4 is not the same as a 2003 and I can personally tel you they are a direct swap other then very minor things. If you want PI and you dont have it already you need parts to make it work. An E series intake isnt the same and is not swapable so You gotta think about thing like that.
