Unhappy 2007 F150 Acceleration Lag & Cylinder 1 Misfire

I've been having an Acceleration lag problem on my truck. I'll step on the pedal and around 40-60 mph it'll happen, during this the truck shakes vigorously. I've also been having a cylinder 1 misfire. I'm not sure where to start to fix the problem.

Please Help!
(140K miles)

Is it a shaking like in the steering wheel and it happens when you hit certain speeds i.e when you get to 45 it starts to shake thereafter it goes away then comeback around 60?

Since you say you have a cylinder 1 misfire that is where I would start. When my truck started shaking at those speeds it turned out to be a bad COP. Replaced the cop and the problem went away.

To verify the bad COP just switch #1 with another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the COP.

The whole truck seems to shake, but if I floor the gas pedal it goes away, but if I come off the gas it starts to shake again until I reach about 45 mph.

I'll go ahead and replace the COP and see if I have any luck. Thanks!

That's a good idea, I'll go ahead and try that out!

Thanks!

I went ahead and replaced the coil for cylinder 1 and so far so good. No problems so far, hopefully it'll stay that way!

Thank you for y'all's help!

What brand of COP did you use? Anything other than Motorcraft or Visteon is a crapshoot, at best.

Did you remember to use dielectric grease ( properly - like this? https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...ml#post5106729 )

How many miles on the plugs? ( current R&R interval is 60K ).

It may be too soon to celebrate. 'Hoping' is not the same as 'knowing'.
