i have a rough idle and no power when accelerating and had all the packs out and did a physical check , is there a way to test the 5.4 coil packs, using the normal test equipment..

 

Use a ohm meter and check the circuits to ground, both primary and secondary sides and then there should be a resistance vaalue check...

I dont have the specs in front of me right now, or I could tell you...

You should not have any shorts to ground or that coil will be bad..

 

4-10 Kilohms resistance between the 2 coil pins.
