Need Help!
I replaced mine with BOSCH platinum +4 (4459) @ $6 each. Got them from local auto parts store. Somewhere here someone posted a site that you could order them from for even less.

I agree with Tina. I've been using the Bosch Platinum+4 plugs in my 4.6 DOHC for awhile now, and they are nothing short of excellent! Cheaper than the factory plug, it makes more power, and gives me better fuel mileage as well. Not a lot, but enough to show. Also, due to their design, they are automatically "indexed" in the cylinder head when you install them, and the power gain may come from that alone, I don't know.
Good luck, and if you try them, let us know what you think!

I have had my Plus 4's in for a few weeks now with the original wire set. No problems with the connection but am seriously considering the wire set replacement as two were obviously leaking. Early 97 design flaw. Newer Ford sets are supposed to aleviate this problem?
Go here for the Bosch plugs at $4.99 each with free shipping on 8 plugs: http://www.automedicsupply.com
I would still like to know if anyone has tried the Bosch wire sets and if they are pleased with them. Never did find anyone that had used them on a F150 4.6L yet. Anyone?

I need to know if there are any replacement sparkplugs for a 1997 4.6L. It turns out the Motorcraft plugs are about 2mm larger than others, so if you don't get Motorcraft, the wiring won't stay attached.
I don't want to be spending $7 per plug (which is what the local dealer quoted me).
Any ideas?
Please post here or e-mail me at dougal@hotmail.com
Thanks!
