Regular oil vs synthetic

I have a 2005 F150, 5.4L 4X4. Wanting to know if I should Change regular oil to another like high mileage or synthetic? . I have no engine issues, blow a little smoke when start up. I have 155,000 kms or 96,000 miles on the engine. I do regular changes 5,000 km or 3,100 miles. What should I do and why? Thanks

You should use 5W20 Motorcraft semi-synthetic and a Motorcraft FL-820S filter. Full synthetic won't do anything for you, especially with those oil change intervals. Use exactly what Ford recommends in a 5.4 3V for least problems.
