86 f150 dies when put in gear

I have an 86 f150 xlt lariat 4x4 with a 5.8 with a four barrel Holley in it. When I start it it idles a little high but it dies when I put it in gear. If I pin the break and give it some gas when I put it in drive it will go but it will die whenever I take off the gas. Also it will start dieing while its driving. It starts sputtering like its out of gas and then just dies. I have no idea what it is.
Ps I ran some 2 stroke outboard gas in it. Wondering if it could be just all gummed up from that. Need help!

You better believe that can gum it up. You could try some Techron in the gas, but I'm betting you are gonna have to rebuild the carb.

Those holleys are easy to rebuild. Get a kit and follow the instruction/diagram exactly. It simular to assembling a complex model. Just put together they way its supposed to go and it will work!

Might start off by removing the float bowls and spraying them out with carb cleaner real good. Sometimes thats enough..
