Hi.

Here you go:

AVOID Dorman FPDM's - they are exhibiting a disturbing tendency to fail unexpectedly (not related to corrosion). Despite their 'lifetime' warranty, getting stranded due to this product's poor reliability in the field, it doesn't matter that they are cheaper.

Stick with Motorcraft.

good luck

Everywhere but here. Not enough traffic.

Side note: Dorman Phaser failure ~3K miles - vane fractures - typical failure mode - not the roll pins. Again - no-hassle warranty replacment but that's not much help given where these are located.

Sorry fer going off-topic, OP.

Yes sir - a good place to start- cheaper than a new pump, easier to do. Classic 'low-hanging fruit' - literally, lol

The module in on top of a frame crossmember, above the spare tire, left side of the truck. Drop the spare to access it.

( If someone tells you it's on the freaking Axle, tell 'em to go pound salt )

good luck

What is the function of the FPDM.Does it act as a relay to turn the pump on and off or something totally diff.

Thanks glc, Ikaro and others i have similar issues see "mis fire engine" in this section. This will provide me one more item to investiage before opening my wallet again. it does sound logical if the FPDM is intermitant signal creating weak pressure the engine could see rich and/or lean conditions and the cam sensor tries to compensate. Does that sound correct? never the less thanks. I'll let you know what i find under the spare tonight.

Well today i replace the Module and once again made a flush and new oil 15w 40 just to try with a new viscosity oil because here in Panamá we are in 35℃ but same. I just follow a recomendation of a mechanic. I feel like more power but in iddle stills Run rough better than Last time. Do u think i need the fuel pump ?the mechanic told me that and the fuel pump. Codes p0012 and p0022

15w40 is too heavy for a 5.4 3 valve with VCT. It doesn't matter how hot the outside air is.

You have a VCT issue, both banks. From obd-codes.com:

Incorrect camshaft timing
Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

The main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCT solenoid valve caused by contamination.
