Motorcraft pcv valve part #

I recently ordered a new motorcraft pcv valve, because no parts stores around carry it for some reason. Well it came in today, and was part EV-233. The one I pulled from my truck says EV-98. They look the same except the whole at the bottom is bigger on the EV-233 one.

Can I use this one or what? Will it cause my any problems?

It's a 98, 4.6.

Ya I just ran into the same thing with the pcv. Went to the dealer and had to order the whole tube and valve as one. The valve on the new tube was EV-98 but it looked like I needed an EV-233 so I ordered that separate. Went to take off the OEM valve and tube and what do you know the OEM valve on my Windsor was EV-98 as well. I am running the EV-233 and havent noticed a bit of difference. Been about 500 miles +-.

oh okay cool. Do you know what the difference is between the holes in the bottom? The 233 is bigger.
