Seems to me if a feller has enough money to have an older 2v truck and another ~10k in cash type money to dump into it (of which you'd be lucky to get 3 back when selling)...seems to me that feller could just swing the payment on a Raptor....

That's no f... Well, wait, that would be fun to lol. I wouldn't do payments again, unless I can get 1 maybe 2% on one. I doubt it. So what's the cash price ? Nevermind, I'm poor anyways, well until I sell off 42 lots anyway.

Nah, a 1 ton diesel is more my thing.

I'm keeping my 98 around. We'll use it at the dunes across the street. Just don't know how far to go with it. Not just BS'ing, but it's too underpowered to run sand tires along w/what I've mentioned before.

That's alright, I'll figure it out.

Thanks 1Rousch. Planning this swap into my NBS 4.6.
What did you end up doing with your crank position sensor?

Yeah saw that part sorry. I meant the cam position you mentioned in your first post.

It seems that the problem is likely noise from other components interfering with the signal, for the dyno we just ran without it. According to the tuner that puts it into bank fire mode vs sequential which may have cost a little bit of power, but it runs fine that way. I still need to get out and try shielding the wires, see if that clears up the strange hiccup at 4k rpm. As far as physically making it work you need to remove four of the five tabs on the 3v cam reluctor wheel as the 2v computer only expects one. For timing it I carefully examined a 2v and with the sensor out and looking into the hole (on the 2v timing cover) the leading edge of the tab comes into view when the crank is at 4 degrees btdc on the compression stroke. I simply matched that with the 3v.
