High idle while driving

A little while back I posted something about this in the 04-08 forum but didn't get many responses so I'm trying here. I'll post a link to the thread below.

To make a long story short.....I cleaned the throttle body and ever since then if I'm driving and let off the gas the truck acts as if the cruise control is set and won't idle down to "coast". Because of this its started downshifting pretty hard when coming to a stop. I also replaced the TPS (no codes were thrown). How long should I have left the battery unhooked? Should I do it again since I replaced the TPS? This is driving me nuts guys and not to mention my mileage is suffering severely!!

Either you have a real bad intake leak or your TB Motor is messed up IMO. I'd look at the motor, if you don't have any DTC's.

Thanks jbrew. Something else I've noticed is that once the engine gets up mid 190°s it sometimes gets a severe hesitation from a dead stop. It only occurs on a hard acceleration like when I'm pulling out into traffic. I'll try to find a TB motor this weekend and report back.
